Every two years, the Monterey Design Conference (MDC) brings together a diverse blend of globally recognized speakers to inspire and educate – all in a scenic and vibrant location that delivers a unique communal experience. Everyone–speakers and attendees–sees talks together, eats together, and encounters each other in amidst a wooded, beachside retreat setting.
Can’t travel? MDC Virtual offers special benefits for attendees. See MDC from your couch, office, or with your firm–care of a viewing party. Viewers watching the live virtual feed earn learning units for headliner talks. Virtual registration opens this summer.
MDC's in-person legacy is an unparalleled and intimate affair. Beyond its extraordinary speakers, attendees stroll the beach; wander the Julia Morgan-designed grounds; and sit on the deck of the main lodge often chatting with the most catalytic thinkers in architecture, or even a future Pritzker Prize recipient, as if they were in their backyard.
Programmed by leading California architects for architects, MDC learning sessions attract dynamic thought leaders and practitioners as presenters. Sessions deliver new best practices in an engaging atmosphere.
